I'm currently teaching in Southern Thailand.  My teaching contract is up in March.  For our finals week I'm going to head down to Malaysia and Singapore for 10 days or so, then have to come back to Lang Suan to grade the finals and turn in grades, then I'm heading to Cambodia and Vietnam until Songkran in Bangkok, then up to Northern Thailand to go trekking and see Chiang Mai and then explore through Laos.  Thinking about being done around the last week of May, have to head back to the states then!  If anyone is interested meeting up it would be SO amazing to have a travel partner!!!!  Let me know!  Message me on here!

Hi Alessandra,

I might have a very similar route to what you have planned.  I'm heading to Bangkok for 1st March, staying there for 4-5 nights and then heading to Southern Thailand for 2-4 weeks.  I also want to head to Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos.

I was going to head north from Bangkok but I've been told that with the farmers burning crops around that time, it's really not the best time to go.  So I thought I'd see the South first and then head north in April.

I'm 30 but don't let that put you off as I look really young for my age! haha :)  I'd like to think that I'm easy to get along with and I have a positive outlook on things but not annoyingly so.

My grand plan is to travel SE Asia for 3-4 months before flying to Oz, where I'll be starting a working holiday for another 3-12 months, depending on how much I like it.

It would be cool to meet up with someone who has been living in Thailand, even if it's just for a week or two.
